At the start of the main draw, WOLFFKRAN OPEN record participant Daniel Masur (ATP 185) started the tournament in the final match on Center Court. After a balanced start against Evgeny Karlovskiy (ATP 308), the 27-year-old Bückeburger, who has been training at the TennisBase Oberhaching for many years, took the service game from his opponent in the tenth game to win the set. With an early break in the second set, No. 5 on the seeding list set the course for victory early on and served out the 6:4, 6:3 win after 74 minutes.

" The result is a bit smoother than the match actually was because I had to solve some difficult situations in the match. The last few weeks haven't been the happiest with the draws at the tournaments so obviously I'm very happy with my win today. Of course it helps a lot that I've played here many times and know the conditions very well. I felt really well prepared today" , analyzed the highest-placed German player in the field after the match.

Local hero Bachinger plays his way into the main draw

To the enthusiasm of the local spectators, Matthias Bachinger (ATP 436) from Munich continued his success from the previous year, where he was able to reach the quarter-finals in the main competition after qualifying. In the match against Mirza Basic (ATP 288) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 35-year-old served 14 aces and didn't allow his opponent a single break chance. After 74 minutes it was 7:6, 6:2 for the Bundesliga player from TC Großhesselohe. In the main field, Bachinger faces the Brazilian Gabriel Decamps (ATP 276).

After the match he commented: " Today I felt very comfortable on the pitch, much better than the day before. I hadn't played a tournament for a long time, so yesterday's match was just to get in. I moved very well and served strong, so I'm super happy with my performance today ".

Ejupovic wins German duel

In the purely German encounter in the qualifying final, Reutlinger Elmar Ejupovic (ATP 328) met Mats Rosenkranz (ATP 411) from Essen. In a balanced match between two strong players with a total of 50 aces, Ejupovic won four points less than his 24-year-old opponent, but ultimately won 7: 6, 3: 6 and 6: 4. In the main competition, the 29-year-old meets the No. 6 seeded Swiss Antoine Bellier (ATP 194).

“I knew from the start that it would be an incredibly difficult task. I've never played against anyone who serves like Mats on carpet. I tried to stay in the match and take advantage of the few chances I had. I'm just happy now that I made it through today, " said Ejupovic after his success.

Lenz in the main field for the fifth time

In his fifth participation in the qualification in Ismaning, Julian Lenz (ATP 440) from Giessen made it into the main draw for the fourth time in a row. In the match against Aldin Setkic (ATP 430) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 29-year-old secured the only break of the match to make it 7: 6, 6: 3 after 1:34 hours of play. Opponent in the first main round is number 7 on the seed list Nerman Fatic (ATP 199) from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
