Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, who was able to take the finalist from Biel - the Pole Kacper Zuk - out of the tournament at the start of the Challenger event in Lugano, also played a good match against Mats Moraing conqueror Miza Basic. After the German had to give up the first set 4:6, Stebe turned it up a notch and finally bought his ticket for the quarter-finals with 4:6, 6:4 and 6:3.

In this one, it could now be against Jurij Rodionov, who was in good form recently and who won his fourth career title at Challenger level in Biel. Rodionov meets Yuichi Sugita from Japan in the afternoon.

For Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, after a tough few weeks with a few defeats at the start, there is now some more positive news. The German has already reached two Challenger semifinals (twice in Forli, Italy) and a round of 16 at the Dallas ATP 250 event in 2022.
