A very strong performance by Maximilian Neuchrist: After the Austrian won against Timofey Skatov in a tiebreak festival in the round of 16 of the ATP Challenger tournament in Maia, Portugal, Neuchrist now defeated Jan Choinski 6: 7 in the round of the last eight ( 6), 6:3 and 6:4 through. In the semi-finals, Neuchrist now has to deal with the tournament's number one, local hero Nuno Borges.
Another Austrian also has a chance of reaching the semi-finals: Jurij Rodionov, who has to play against Australian Aleksander Vukic.
