With this success, Rodionov will be number 131 on the ATP charts tomorrow, Monday. A new career high. And thus also as the new number one in Austria, followed by Dennis Novak in 139th place and Dominic Thiem as number 162.

After winning the first set, the local hero also led against Lehecka early in the second set with a break, Lehecka equalized. In the ninth game, Rodionov managed another coup when his opponent served - and the first match point also brought victory in Mauthausen.

Rodionov is having a good season on the ATP Challenger Tour and has already won the tournament in Biel. On the ATP tour, the left-hander qualified for the main draw in Dallas and was unlucky to lose against Vasek Pospisil.

Lehecka, on the other hand, showed a lot this year, especially in Rotterdam, where he was able to advance to the semifinals as a qualifier, where he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas. The young Czech is already in 88th place in the current world rankings. In Mauthausen, Lehecka started from number two.
