ATP Challenger Meerbusch: Dennis Novak is in the final
Dennis Novak is in the final of the Meerbusch ATP Challenger event. On Sunday, the Lower Austrian meets Bernape Zapata Miralles in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Dennis Novak is really picking up speed in Meerbusch this week. The Lower Austrian was also victorious in the semifinals against Riccardo Bonadio 6: 4 and 6: 2 and is thus in his first Challenger final of the year. Novak had previously eliminated Jan-Lennard Struff and Damir Dzumhur.
In the final, the 28-year-old now meets top seeded Spaniard Bernape Zapata Miralles. Regardless of the outcome, Dennis Novak will be Austria's number one in the ATP ranking from Monday. Thanks to the strong week, the Austrian will end up in about 130th place in the ATP charts with the next update. Just behind them are Jurij Rodionov and Filip Misolic. Dominic Thiem fell outside the top 200 again last week.
