Dennis Novak is slowly getting going in Murcia. After the opening success against compatriot Filip Misolic, Novak said goodbye to the Spanish qualifier Miguel Damas 6-0 and 6-2 in the round of 16 of the Challenger tournament. In the round of eight, Novak will play against either Spaniard Carlos Gimeno Valero or Belgian Christopher Heyman.
Novak is third in Murcia, with Norbert Gombos at the top of the table, who has also reached the quarterfinals. Sebastian Ofner failed in his comeback in lap one due to Italian Raul Brancaccio.
