ATP Challenger Nur-Sultan 2: Sebastian Ofner confidently into the final
Sebastian Ofner defeated Taro Daniel 6: 3 and 6: 4 in the semifinals of the second ATP Challenger tournament in Nur-Sultan Taro. In the final, the Austrian meets Tomas Machac.

Ofner had to fight hard against Frederico Ferreira Silva in the quarter-finals, but won 7: 6 (2), 4: 6 and 7: 5 on Friday. The Styrian was eliminated against the Portuguese a week ago. In the match-up with the experienced Japanese, Ofner took command right from the start. And made the decisive break late in the second set.
The final is now against the Czech Tomas Machac, who was able to assert himself against Prajnesh Gunneswaran in three sets.
In the first tournament in the Kazakh capital, Jurij Rodionov had reached the final, but had no chance there against the American Mackenzie McDonald.
