The two won the final on Saturday against the Austrian duo Alexander Erler / Lucas Miedler 7: 6 (8), 4: 6, [10: 8] and thus lived up to their favorite position - Weissborn and Sancic were placed in second place.

Weissborn and Sancic were nervous for almost the entire tournament, three of their four encounters were only decided in the match tiebreak, always with the better end for the Austrian-Croatian duo.

For the 30-year-old Weissborn, currently number 148 in the double ranking, it was the 15th tournament victory at Challenger level, the second of which in Ortisei. It was here that he won his premier title in 2015, at the side of Maximilian Neuchrist.
