ATP Challenger Rovereto: Jurij Rodionov moves into the quarterfinals
Jurij Rodionov made it into the quarterfinals of the Challenger tournament in Rovereto. The Austrian prevailed against Jan Choinski in three sets in the round of 16.

Jurij Rodionov is in the quarterfinals of the Challenger event in Rovereto, Italy. The top seeded Austrian beat Jan Choinski 6-2, 2-6 and 6-4 in the round of 16. The 23-year-old needed almost two hours to win.
Rodionov, who easily beat Li Tu 6:3 and 6:3 in the first round, now meets Kaichi Uchida. The Japanese beat the German Peter Gojowczyk in the round of 16 in the tie-break of the third set. Rodionov's biggest competitor in the fight for the title, however, is likely to be up-and-coming Swiss Dominic Stricker.
