The final match against the number 2 seeded Australian/Polish duo Matthew Romios and Piotr Matuszewski was evenly balanced until the middle of the first round, before Lucas Miedler from Lower Austria and Alexander Erler from Tyrol won three games in a row with the score at 3:3 and were able to win the first round.
