Dominic Thiem had announced it after his departure in Miami against Lorenzo Sonego, now the plans for starts on the ATP Challenger Tour are taking concrete shape: The US open champion of 2020 will serve at the event in Mauthausen, which will take place from May 7th to May 14th. Last year Thiem was active in Marbella, Salzburg and Rennes at the second highest level of professional tennis.

In addition to defending champion Jurij Rodionov, who only won a tournament at Challenger level for the sixth time in Biel on Sunday, there should also be an appearance by Gael Monfils, who made his comeback in Indian Wells.

Dominic Thiem, on the other hand, is scheduled to start in Estoril next week, after which Monte Carlo will follow. From April 17th, the Austrian will serve with a wildcard at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Munich.
