Zverev got the break in the Canadian's first long service game and was harmless for a long time on his own serve. Only when he had secured the second break, to 5: 2, there were two double mistakes that brought "FAA" back into the set. However, he then lost his serve again.
Zverev dominated the match most of the time, preferably with the strong forehand. In set two he managed the decisive break to 4: 2, he eliminated a wobble with two double errors in the subsequent service game - also because Auger-Aliassime put a promising forehand with a break chance after a nicely played point just off the line.
