ATP Cologne: Oscar Otte surprisingly beats Jan-Lennard Struff
Big surprise in the first round of the ATP 250 event in Cologne. Jan-Lennard Struff , who entered the tournament as number seven, had to admit defeat to qualifier Oscar Otte in two sets.

After the French Open is before the ATP event in Cologne. While most of the top stars are taking a break, Alexander Zverev (start at the home tournament in Cologne) and Daniil Medvedev (start at the home tournament in St. Petersburg) are on duty this week. At the tournament in Cologne, which was added to the ATP calendar at short notice, there was already a surprise to report in the first match of the day: Jan-Lennard Struff had to give up early.
In the first round, the Warsteiner faced his compatriot Oscar Otte, who had successfully made it through the qualification. After Otte was able to secure the first set with 6: 4, the thread broke in the world ranking 32. Struff lost the second round 3: 6 - Otte was the winner after exactly one hour and 18 minutes.
