ATP Dallas: Signs of life from Frances Tiafoe

Things didn't go really well for Frances Tiafoe in the still young 2024 season: she was eliminated in round two both in Hong Kong and at the Australian Open. Which doesn't meet the demands of the American, who is ranked 14th in the current ATP world rankings. The debut has now been successful in Dallas. Tiafoe defeated his compatriot Alex Michelsen 6:4 and 6:3 and will face Marcus Giron today (local time).
Adrian Mannarino, whose opponent Yoshihito Nishioka was unable to compete, had a very short day at work. The fourth-seeded Frenchman will play against James Duckworth from Australia in the quarterfinals.
