Dennis Novak narrowly failed in the round of 16 of the ATP Challenger in Biel (Switzerland).

Despite leading the set 1-0, Dennis Novak had to say goodbye to the ATP Challenger event in Biel, Switzerland. The Lower Austrian lost to Tim Van Rijthoven from the Netherlands in the round of 16 after a hard-fought 2:15 hour 7: 6 (5), 3: 6, 6: 7 (1). Novak was number three at the hard court event endowed with 44,820 euros. The current world ranking 120. competes next week at the heavily occupied ATP Challenger in Orleans.

There was a clear two-set defeat for the Austrian top doubles Oliver Marach and Philipp Oswald. The Styrian and his colleague from Vorarlberg clearly failed in the first round of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Metz against the Polish team Hubert Hurkacz and Jan Zielinski in two sets after exactly one hour of play with 3: 6, 4: 6.
