Thanasi Kokkinakis needs to focus on doubles in Delray Beach

The momentum of a first major win didn't last long for Thanasi Kokkinakis. At his first appearance after the double coup alongside Nick Kyrgios in Melbourne, the Australian failed in round one at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Delray Beach due to Sebastian Korda. The young American had few problems in the 6: 4 and 6: 1 and meets the veteran Andreas Seppi in the round of 16.

Kokkinakis had won the first championship of his career in singles in Adelaide at the beginning of the year, but clearly failed in singles at the Australian Open due to Yannick Hanfmann. Kokkinakis tries doubles with compatriot Jordan Thompson in Delray Beach.

Sock beats Altmaier

Daniel Altmaier, who is supposed to score points for the German Davis Cup team in Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of March, has been eliminated. Altmaier started strong against Jack Sock but eventually lost 6-2, 3-6 and 4-6. Sock can now play against Reilly Opelka, who only won his second Tour title on Sunday in Dallas.

Cameron Norrie is seeded number one in Delray Beach. The Brit is playing the last match of the day against Oscar Otte today.
