Andrey Rublev beat Marton Fucsovics in straight sets

Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Vienna and Rotterdam - Andrey Rublev recently took the crown at all of these ATP 500 tournaments. And in Dubai, too, there seems to be no getting around the Russians so far. After three two-set successes en suite, the world number eight is already in the semifinals in the United Arab Emirates.

The 23-year-old had to fight Marton Fucsovics at least in the first set, but after a break in the twelfth game, it finally went to the Russian. In the second round Rublev had a much easier game and achieved his 23rd success in a row at the ATP 500 level with the 7: 5 and 6: 2 victory. In the semifinals, the Russian will now face compatriot Aslan Karatsev, who had asserted himself against Jannik Sinner in the second game of the day .

The second semifinals will be played by Denis Shapovalov and Lloyd Harris. The Canadian had prevailed against Jeremy Chardy in the first quarter-final match, the Thiem conqueror from South Africa followed a few hours later with a 6-1, 3-6 and 6-3 victory over Kei Nishikori.
