The fans saw a single break in the doubles final of the ATP Finals 2022. And that's what Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury did in the first game of set two against Mate Pavic. But that was enough for Ram and Salisbury to finally write as the winner of the unofficial ATP World Championship for the first time after a 7: 6 (4) and 6: 4.

For Ram/Salisbury it was the ninth joint title on the tour, this season the two have triumphed at the US Open and at the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in Monte Carlo and Cincinnati. Mektic and Pavic have won six titles this season alone, most recently in Astana. The Croatian Olympic champions from Tokyo 2021 recorded the 1000m title in Rome as their greatest success.
