Only last week the organizers of the ATP 500 tournament in Halle / Westphalia announced the participation of Daniil Medvedev, Roger Federer, Karen Khachanov and Kei Nishikori , only a few days later the starting field received top-class growth: With Andrey Rublev, Roberto Bautista Agut and David Goffin will serve three more top 15 players at Germany's largest turf event.

"The commitment of this top trio shows the reputation and recognition we enjoy with the professionals. Each of these players can win the trophy in the end," said tournament director Ralf Weber, who can already look forward to one of the best line-ups in tournament history.

Weber wants to guide more stars to Halle

But not only Weber, but also the players are already looking forward to the event that starts on June 12th. "At the moment I'm playing very consistently at a high level. I also want to be at the forefront in Halle," explained Rublev, while Bautista Agut is calculating a lot this year after two quarter-finals (2017 and 2019) and a semi-final in 2018: "I'm looking forward to it the return to Halle, I always play good tennis there and I feel very comfortable. "

Goffin also has fond memories of the event in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Belgian reached the final two years ago and would like to go one better in 2021: "It would be nice to be able to take the final step towards the title in this top competition."

Given the strong field of participants, this task should not be easy, especially since Weber is already working on signing further world-class players: "We are in promising talks and hope to announce more well-known top players soon."
