Back at Hamburg's Rothenbaum: ServusTV Germany is once again the official free TV and media partner of the Hamburg European Open and is thus securing the broadcasting rights for the largest and most traditional tournament in Germany in 2023 as well. As in the previous year, the Hamburg tennis spectacle will be held as a "combined event". The station will show the WTA 250 tournament and the ATP 500 event live and exclusively on free TV from July 24th. The women's first main draw serves can be seen live on the ServusTV On streaming platform from July 23rd.

Less than 100 days until the 117th edition of the Hamburg European Open! Last year, the clay court classic at Rothenbaum, which is the second oldest professional tennis tournament in the world outside of the Grand Slams, was held as a combined women's and men's tournament for the first time since 1978. Also in 2023, the top German and international players will play in the Hanseatic city at the same time.

"The outstanding international field of players of the past year makes it clear how important the tournament is in the tennis scene. Top athletes such as the Norwegian clay court prince Casper Ruud have already confirmed for the tournament this year. With the live broadcast of the Hamburg European Open, we are building on the last summer of tennis and are happy to be able to bring the games into German living rooms again as a media partner," says David Morgenbesser, Managing Director at ServusTV.

Schett, Kas and Nössing in action

From Monday, July 24, ServusTV Germany will broadcast all center court matches live and exclusively on free TV and on ServusTV On every day from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The first main draw matches of the WTA 250 event on July 23 and all tournament games after 6:00 p.m. can also be seen on the streaming platform.

"Tennis belongs on German free TV, we've always emphasized that. With ServusTV Germany we have a proven partner with a high level of tennis expertise, for whom our women's tournament is also very important. ServusTV has developed into the leading tennis broadcaster in German-speaking countries in recent years. We're looking forward to first-class broadcasts," says tournament director Sandra Reichel.

As in the previous year, Birgit Nössing will moderate the event together with ServusTV expert Barbara Schett, who, as a former seventh in the world rankings, will provide exciting insights. It comments Philipp Eger, supported by co-commentator and tennis expert Christopher Kas.
