Alexander Zverev meets Martin Klizan for the first time

At the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, Alexander Zverev can concentrate entirely on the individual competition: The German number one with brother Mischa has some momentum from the tournament victory in Acapulco in the doubles against the Colombian classics Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah taken - in the end, however, the Zverev brothers had to give up in the champions tie-break.

Speaking of Mischa: Today's Saturday in Indian Wells is a family revenge for Sascha, after all, the older Zverev didn't see much light in round one against Martin Klizan. It is known that the Slovak can beat almost any player on a good day and lose to almost any player on normal days. The premiere of the duel between Alexander Zverev and Martin Klizan was surprisingly scheduled only in stage 3 (fourth match after 8:00 p.m. CET, in our live tracker).

Kohlschreiber against Kyrgios

Philipp Kohlschreiber should already get a little more attention in stage 2. The native of Augsburg now has Acapulco champion Nick Kyrgios in front of his chest after his convincing opening win against Pierre-Hugues Herbert (third match after 8:00 p.m. CET). To date, this encounter has only occurred once on the ATP tour, strictly speaking not even there, in 2017 Kyrgios won three sets at the French Open.

The start from a German perspective is Maximilian Marterer, who after winning the qualifier Ugo Humbert at 8 p.m. in Stadium 5 will be dealing with Lucky Loser Miomir Kecmanovic from Serbia.

There remains Jan-Lennard Struff, who also plays against a man (third match in stage 5) who has already lost in qualifying - and slipped straight into the second round due to the cancellation of Grigor Dimitrov: Ricardas Berankis. The only duel with the Lithuanian was won by Struff, who is also in round two in doubles, in 2014 on clay in Munich.
