Oscar Otte has reached the second round of the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. In his opening match, the man from Cologne defeated Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6:2, 1:6, 6:3 and now meets Hubert Hurkacz from Poland, who is eleventh seeded. Otte is at the start of the tournament in Indian Wells, which is worth more than eight million dollars.
Philipp Kohlschreiber, on the other hand, failed in his first match. After qualifying, the 38-year-old veteran from Augsburg lost to Finn Emil Ruusuvuori 3:6, 3:6. In addition to Otte, Olympic champion Alexander Zverev is already in the second round after a bye at the beginning.
