For known reasons, Roger Federer is currently not present on the tennis courts around the world, but as an interested observer of one or the other event, the former world number one has been seen more often in recent weeks. The 20-time Grand Slam champion also uses the convalescence phase after another knee operation to advance the projects of the Roger Federer Foundation.
The great and noble goal of the charitable foundation is to give children from underprivileged backgrounds a better chance of education so that they can lead a self-determined life in adulthood. According to the Roger Federer Foundation's homepage, the programs have already benefited 1,750,000 children in southern Africa.
