Sebastian Ofner narrowly failed in the round of 16 at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Los Cabos. The Styrian was defeated by the Australian Jordan Thompson in three sets.

On lap one Ofner benefited from compatriot Jurij Rodionov, who had major problems with the external conditions in Los Cabos. Ofner started well against Thompson, but lost 6: 3, 4: 6 and 5: 7.
