ATP Los Cabos: Strong Daniil Medvedev already in the semifinals
The Russian Daniil Medvedev is already in the semifinals at the ATP World Tour 250 event in Los Cabos after a smooth victory over Ricardas Berankis .

World number one Daniil Medvedev can still hope for his first tournament win of the year. The 26-year-old Russian defeated Ricardas Berankis from Lithuania 6-2, 6-2 at the ATP hard court tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico, and is now meeting fourth-seeded Miomir Kecmanovic from Serbia in the semifinals.
"I've been playing great here so far," said Medvedev: "The further you get, the tougher the matches get, the tougher the opponents, the more pressure." Medvedev had previously won his opening match against Australian underdog Rinky Hijikata 6-4, 6-3 and clinched the 250th win of his career.

Medvedev was not allowed to serve at the classic lawn in Wimbledon due to the sanctions against Russian professionals, but he will again be one of the favorites at the fourth Grand Slam of the year in New York from August 29th. Last year, Medvedev defeated Novak Djokovic in the final and celebrated the first Grand Slam success of his career.
Number two Felix Auger-Aliassime is also still represented in the main competition: The Canadian defeated the American Steve Johnson 6: 4, 7: 6 (3) with a strong performance. In the semifinals, Auger-Aliassime meets third seeded Briton Cameron Norrie, who defeated Radu Albot from Moldova 6:3, 7:6 (4). This leaves all four top seeded players in the Los Cabos semifinals.
