ATP Marrakech: Two match points saved - Alex Molcan beats top seeded Auger-Aliassime

The 24-year-old Slovakian beat Felix Auger-Aliassime 6: 4, 2: 6 and 7: 6 (7) and is thus in the quarter-finals. At the end of the decisive set, Molcan blew off two match balls from the ninth in the world rankings.
Auger-Aliassime was the top seeded player ahead of Daniel Evans in the 250cc event in Morocco. The Brit was already eliminated at the start.
Besides Molcan, David Goffin, Richard Gasquet and Botic van de Zandschulp also reached the last eight on Thursday.
