ATP Marseille: Jannik Sinner fixes duel with Daniil Medvedev, Marin Cilic had to tremble

Strong field of participants in the ATP 250 event in Marseille. Many players who started in Rotterdam last week have stayed in Europe to take part in the next hard court tournament in Marseille. This naturally has a positive effect on the field of participants: Six top 20 players are playing in France this week.

Yesterday Bernoit Paire, Mikael Ymer and Alexander Bublik bought their round of 16 tickets, today there were other first round games on the program. In the first duel of the day, Hubert Hurkacz and the French wildcard Antoine Hoang should meet. The Pole, who had just narrowly missed a win over Stefanos Tsitsipas, did not show any weakness and moved into the top 16 with 6: 4 and 6: 1.

Sinner in the round of 16 against Medvedev

The Italian youngster, Jannik Sinner, had to fight harder and was able to move into the quarter-finals last week. He was dealing with Slovaks Norbert Gombos.
