Nine tournaments are in the series of the Masters 1000 tournaments, so the chance to win more than one title is not that low. In singles, the two industry leaders Novak Djokovic (Madrid, Paris-Bercy) and Rafael Nadal (Rome, Montréal) have made it, and Daniil Medvedev has twice entered the winners' lists - in Cincinnati and in Shanghai.

In the double, on the other hand, there seems to be pure chaos. Only the names Nikola Mektic and Horacio Zeballos appear twice among the winners, but with one caveat: Although the Croat and the Argentine triumphed together in Indian Wells, the crown in Monte Carlo, Mektic sat down but with compatriot Franko Skugor. Zeballos in turn beat Montreal on the side of Marcel Granollers, with whom he also reached the final of the US Open.

Herbert and Mahut reunited for the title

Indestructible again Bob and Mike Bryan, who were allowed to cheer in Miami. Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah prevailed next to the two recent Grand Slam tournaments in London and New York City in Rome.

The feel-good story came at the very end of the year, Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert, temporarily vacated during the year due to Herbert's individual aspirations, took the title in the Paris-Bercy hall as the only all-French pairing.
