Great success for Benoit Paire: The French beat Denis Shapovalov in the second round of Cincinnati 6: 3, 4: 6 and 7: 5 and celebrated his first win against a top ten player since 2017. The Canadian The Wimbledon semi-finalist, on the other hand, has to wait for his first success since his great run in south-west London.
Things went better for the Wimbledon finalists: In his first match since the final in the English capital, Matteo Berrettini claimed 6: 7 (5), 6: 3 and 7: 5. Alexander Zverev has to be patient a little longer. His opening game against Lloyd Harris was postponed to Wednesday due to rain.
