ATP Masters Indian Wells: Carlos Alcaraz fixes dream semifinals against Rafael Nadal
Carlos Alcaraz ' run of success at the Indian Wells ATP Masters 1000 event continues. On Friday night (CET), the youngster didn't give Cameron Norrie a chance either. Rafael Nadal is now waiting in the semifinals.

Spanish festival this Thursday at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells. While Rafael Nadal was initially able to fend off Nick Kyrgios' general attack - which forced the Spaniard over the full distance in the round of eight - compatriot Carlos Alcaraz also bought his ticket for the semi-finals in the early hours of the morning (CET).
The 18-year-old continued a sensational run against Cameron Norrie from Great Britain in the calendar year 2022: Alcaraz has only lost one match so far (at the Australian Open against Matteo Berrettini in the tie-break of the fifth set), on the credit side there are eleven wins . And winning the title at the ATP 500 event in Rio de Janeiro.
Alcaraz now against Nadal
Against defending champion Cameron Norrie in Indian Wells, Alcaraz - who has not lost a set throughout the tournament - never really let anything burn. The Spaniard won the first round with a late break to make it 6: 4, in set two the 18-year-old had a break in the middle of the set for an unchallenged 6: 4 and 6: 3 success.
In the semifinals, what is probably the biggest challenge in men's tennis at the moment is waiting for the youngster: Rafael Nadal. He is still unbeaten in the 2022 calendar year and has already won three titles - including Grand Slam title number 21 Down Under. In Indian Wells, however, the old master has had to fight much harder than the youngster Alcaraz.
