ATP Masters Indian Wells: Carlos Alcaraz - Only John McEnroe was in three digits faster

Carlos Alcaraz reached a milestone with his third round win over Tallon Griekspoor at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. And faster than almost all other players in the history of ATP.

Anyone who is not only in the company of these names, but even leads the list in one respect, has made it in tennis: John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Mats Wilander, Jimmy Connors - and now Carlos Alcaraz. These are the ATP professionals who needed the fewest matches to win 100 on the tour.

And Alcaraz almost took the lead in this list. Namely, if the Spaniard had also won the final of Rio de Janeiro against Cameron Norrie. And just his first appearance in Indian Wells against Thanasi Kokkinakis. So it became one more match. 132 attempts for 100 victories - only John McEnroe was actually a nuance faster.

Alcaraz can already start the next hundred tonight. It's against Jack Draper. Alcaraz had some problems with the Briton in Basel last fall and narrowly won in three sets. However, under completely different circumstances: the conditions in the hall in Basel cannot be compared with those outdoors in Indian Wells.
