Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski won their fourth title of 2022 in Madrid

Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski started the ATP Masters 1000 tournament as leaders in the annual ranking, the Race to Turin. And after the 6: 7 (4), 6: 4 and 10: 5 against the two Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, the Dutchman and his British partner can probably already plan their performance in Italy in November.

After the coup in Madrid, Koolhof/Skupski already have four titles this season. The other three, however, which they won in Melbourne, Adelaide (at the second edition) and Doha, were in the 250 category. Koolhof now holds a total of eleven championships - the largest was in 2020 at the ATP Finals, which were then held in London, alongside Nikola Mektic. For Neal Skupski, the triumph in Madrid was title number ten.
