ATP Masters Miami: Alcaraz, Zverev, Rune and Co. get inspiration from the heat

When the New York Knicks visited the Miami Heat in the late 1990s - particularly in the playoffs - there was a rivalry between the two teams as if for nothing less than world domination. This mixed situation has softened somewhat in the past few decades, but every win is important, especially in the current phase of the NBA. And so the Heat were happy to take their 127:120 against the New Yorkers on Thursday.

And that in front of some tennis stars who currently want to prove themselves in the second ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season. Alexander Zverev was there, for example, the German number one is also a self-confessed fan of the Miami Heat. Lorenzo Musetti, Holger Rune and Miomir Kecmanovic appeared as a trio, and the Heat press department was happy to provide a photographer.

And Carlos Alcaraz, who was number one in the world again this Monday, clearly enjoyed the evening playing basketball. Especially because with Dwayne Wade he was able to meet one of the great icons of the Heat for the first time.

Incidentally, all four ATP cracks were able to go to passive sports quite relaxed: As seeded players, they all only get on in Miami in round two. By the way, Jimmy Butler, currently probably the best player in the Heat, paid a return visit to the tennis players on Thursday. And made Cori Gauff somewhat nervous …
