Jannik Sinner had to give up in the quarterfinals

Like Paula Badosa before with the women, Jannik Sinner had to end his quarter-final game at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami early on the men's side. The South Tyrolean gave up against Francisco Cerundolo because of blisters on his foot when the score was 1: 4 from his point of view.

For Sinner, the Sunshine Double ended with another disappointment. After the 20-year-old was unable to play Nick Kyrgios in his round of 16 duel in Indian Wells, his body put another spanner in the works in Miami.

Cerundolo, on the other hand, can look forward to the greatest success of his career. In the semifinals, the Argentine will face Alexander Zverev or Casper Ruud.
