"I think fans should be able to go in and out, move and speak," the 25-year-old told Forbes.com: "Imagine you go to a basketball game and you're not allowed to say anything."

US professional Tiafoe acknowledged that at certain events, such as Wimbledon, traditions need to be maintained. But other than that, "we should start changing things to bring younger fans to the game," the crowd favorite added.

Tiafoe loves the atmosphere of basketball and sees perhaps the loosest fan culture in tennis in the US Open. The evening sessions at Arthur Ashe Stadium are unique: "New York at night - everyone's drunk and the atmosphere is crazy."
