Pablo Carreno Busta is in the semifinals in Montreal

Pablo Carreno Busta is still on fire in Montreal: The Spaniard, who has already defeated Matteo Berrettini, Jannik Sinner and Holger Runde in the course of the tournament and is still waiting for the first set loss this week, is in the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 event. Carreno Busta won 7:6 (4) and 6:1 against British surprise man Jack Draper.

In the round of the last four, the Spaniard is now up against a Brit again, now Dan Evans is waiting. Above all, the 32-year-old showed a strong fighting performance against the Alcaraz conqueror and secured his ticket for the semi-finals with 1: 6, 6: 3 and 6: 4. In the second round, Evans surprisingly knocked Andrey Rublev out of the tournament.

Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz contest the second semi-final in Montreal. The former inflicted an extremely violent defeat on Friday evening (CET) on local hero Felix Auger-Aliassime, while Hurkacz stopped the run of Nick Kyrgios in an entertaining match, who only triumphed at the ATP 500 event in Washington last week.
