Kevin Anderson's ordeal continues: After the South African had to give up against Andrey Rublev in the semi-finals of the Erste Bank Open last week in Vienna, Anderson was now able to play in his second match at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Paris-Bercy Don't play to the end: Anderosn gave up in the first set when the score was 2: 5 in the tie-break against Danill Medvedev because of problems in his thigh. In round one, the 2018 Wimbledon finalist benefited from the abandonment of his opponent Laslo Djere. Medvedev will play in the second round on Thursday either against Vienna finalist Lorenzo Sonego or Alex de Minaur.
In the second early match on Wednesday Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina won against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6: 4 and 6: 4.
