ATP Masters Paris-Bercy: Novak Djokovic after a cold start on lap three

Novak Djokovic reached the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris-Bercy on Wednesday evening. The world number one was clearly challenged by French lucky loser Corentin Moutet in a 7: 6 (2), 6: 4 win.

Djokovic had to break in the first set to 3: 4. Moutet had two set balls on serve Djokovic and a 5-3 lead, but could not take both. Djokovic responded by return mail with a rebreak and took the passage in the tiebreak.

In the second set, the Serb then stormed quickly to 4: 1 of it, had to accept a rebreak, but turned after one hour and 47 minutes his first match point.

In the third round, the four-time Paris Bercy winner meets Kyle Edmund or Vienna finalist Diego Schwartzman. After the game, Djokovic confirmed that he had felt a little sick.

Stan Wawrinka continues in horror-draw

In the early evening Stan Wawrinka was determined as a knockout finalist. The Swiss is number 16 in Paris-Bercy and after a bye in the first round, won his opening game against Marin Cilic in two tight sets with 7: 6 (3), 7: 6 (5).

Wawrinka finds Paris in a true horror draw: Rafael Nadal could wait for the next hurdle, after which he would probably have to face Matteo Berrettini.
