In the indoor hard court tournament in Paris, worth just under € 5.8 million, Alexander Zverev (ATP 6), who was the first time in the first round after being the number six seedling after a bye, had very little chance against Fernando Verdasco (ATP 49) trouble. /

After a balanced start, Zverev kicked off the 35-year-old Spaniard. Two breaks for the meantime 3: 1 and 5: 1 resulted from a powerful style of play Zverevs, which met on a fault-prone playing style of Verdasco on the opposite side. 6: 1 was the clear result of the first set for the eleven-time ATP champion.

In the second round Zverev continued where the Hamburger had left off in the first set: Zverev continued to put pressure on the former number seven in the world rankings and immediately took the break to make it 1-0. The German number one managed this lead not only to the end, but put on another break, which led to a sovereign 6: 3-Satzgewinn at the end.

In the second round Zverev gets a hard nut as opponent. It wins in the round of the last 16 of the winners of the match between Denis Shapovalov (ATP 28) and Fabio Fognini (ATP 12), who meet on Wednesday in the second game of the day.
