It was just after nine thirty on Sunday evening when Alexander Zverev got rid of his arduous opening task David Goffin in Rome. JJ Wolf, on the other hand, was able to take Sunday off and study his upcoming opponent if necessary. Because the American had just escaped the rain the day before.

Despite the shorter break, Zverev will go into the fourth game of the day on the Pietrangeli as a favorite. Less because of the performance against Goffin, but rather because Wolf, like most Americans, does not feel particularly comfortable on the red ashes.
