In the quarterfinals he defeated Alexander Zverev thanks to a strong performance 6: 3 and 6: 4 and then spoke of his best performance so far in the current clay court season. In the semifinals, the world number three will now face Reilly Opelka, who has not yet made a set in the Italian capital. It will be the first duel between the two of them on the ATP tour.
