ATP Metz: Peter Gojowczyk is subject to Hurkacz in the semifinals

In the semifinals of the indoor tournament in Metz, France, the strong form Munich lost to the top seeded Poland Hubert Hurkacz 4: 6, 6: 7 (4: 7). Gojowczyk had also won his only major title to date in Metz in 2017. In addition, the former Davis Cup player was in 2018 in Geneva and Delray Beach in ATP finals.
In the world rankings, Gojowczyk, who last impressed at the US Open with his run from qualifying into the round of 16, will be among the top 100 again on Monday - as high as he was two years ago. In Metz, too, Gojowczyk made it into the main field through qualification.
