ATP Munich: Alexander Zverev with a possible opening duel with Holger Rune, four other Germans in the main draw

Alexander Zverev could meet youngster Holger Rune in round two of the ATP 250 event in Munich. In round one, the top seeded German was given a bye. With Oscar Otte , Daniel Altmaier , Philipp Kohlschreiber and Max Hans Rehberg , four other Germans are about to qualify in the main draw.

Alexander Zverev is still looking for his form in 2022. And after his first title win in the current game year. There will be a good opportunity for the German to do this next Monday, when the 24-year-old is top seeded and the top favorite in the ATP 250 event in Munich.

At the start, the native of Hamburg could face the Norwegian youngster Holger Rune. In round one, Zverev was given a bye. Possible opponents in the quarter-finals in Bavaria would be Brit Dan Evans, in the semi-finals Reilly Opelka or Cristian Garin could wait.

Ruud the number two in Munich

Another Norwegian is the number two in Munich: Casper Ruud. He has already celebrated numerous titles on clay court - and recently played up to seventh place in the ATP charts. The 23-year-old could start with Alex Molcan, possible opponent in the quarter-finals is Botic van de Zandschulp.

In addition to Zverev, four other Germans are already in the main draw before qualifying. While Oscar Otte will have to deal with a qualifier at the start, a tough nut is waiting for Max Hans Rehberg (WC): the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic. In addition, the clash between Philipp Kohlschreiber and Daniel Altmaier will result in a purely German first-round duel.
