In the end, it was an ace from Alexander Erler that secured the second tournament victory for Tyrolean and partner Lucas Miedler in the current season. After 69 minutes, the two Austrians were able to celebrate a 6:3 and 6:4 against Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz. And about an entry in the list of winners of the BMW Open.

Incidentally, Krawietz could have managed the title hat-trick: in 2021 the local hero won the doubles competition together with Wesley Koolhof, last year with long-term partner Andreas Mies.

Erler and Miedler, on the other hand, have already won their fourth career title: in 2021 they won just as surprisingly in Kitzbühel as they did last autumn in Vienna. In 2023 the triumph in Acapulco was added. In the Race to Turin, the annual standings, Erler/Miedler are already ranked tenth.
