The main field of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Munich got another local hero: Cedric-Marcel Stebe defeated Austria's number two, Dennis Novak, 6: 4 and 7: 5 in the second round of qualifying and thus secured one Place in the 28 grid. The left-hander made an early break in the first set, which Stebe cleverly defended. In the second set the match went back and forth before the German could break away in the final phase. Novak could now only serve as a lucky loser at the MTTC Iphitos next week.
In addition to Cedric-Marcel Stebe, Ilya Ivashka, Mackenzie McDonald and Daniel Elahi Galan have also qualified for the traditional event in Munich.
