For Novak Djokovic things were done pretty early: The Serbian won the Australian Open in a superior manner, put four more titles in the course of the 2019 season - and now holds 77 successes on the ATP Tour. Since 2006, Djokovic has celebrated at least one triumph on the tour every year since he first scored on sand in Amersfoort. 14 years, that puts the Serbian world ranking second in third place of the eternal leaderboard.

With the best chance to catch up with the second one next year. In fact, Roger Federer has 15 seasons en suite with at least one title. However, this series came to an end in 2016. Although the Swiss has come back in the past two seasons, holds after the championship in Basel now at 103 successes. The fact that he lays down more than a dozen victorious years, even the 38-year-old maestro is untrue.

Thiem at five, Zverev at four years in a row

The number one, however, is Rafael Nadal, not only in the current world rankings. Since the Spaniard won his first title in Sopot in 2004, at least two more have been added each year. Nadal also had a difficult year in 2016, but the successes in Barcelona and Madrid were still enough. It took a bit longer in the past season, but after the success in Rome, Paris and New York have also added two more Grand Slam victories.

Dominic Thiem, for comparison only, holds after his most successful season at the moment at five-years of titles, Alexander Zverev has screwed his personal series with success in Geneva for four seasons in a row.

Here are the players with the most consecutive years with at least one title:

playerYears with titles
Rafael Nadal (series still active) 16
Roger Federer 15
Novak Djokovic (series still active) 14
Ivan Lendl 14
Jimmy Connors 13
Boris Becker 12
Stefan Edberg 12
