Andy Murray never seemed so happy with his tennis this Wednesday in Newport. The Scot repeatedly complained loudly - especially due to the fact that the former world number one had to give up the first round against Max Purcell surprisingly 4: 6.
For a short time it even looked as if the Scotsman in Newport would be hit hard: Murray was quickly behind with a break and 2-0 against the double specialist from Australia in the second set, but then turned it up a notch. And won the set 6-2 with six wins in a row.
Murray vs Bublik
This tone should now continue. Murray was most concerned with the unusually error-prone line judges in Newport, who were repeatedly resolved by repeating the point, to the displeasure of the three-time Grand Slam winner.
In the end, however, this changed little: Murray fixed the entry into the round of eight with 4: 6, 6: 2 and 6: 1, where it is now up to Alexander Bublik, who kept the upper hand against Jack Sock.
