From the dream of a fixed starting place at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin for Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies. The German duo had to admit defeat to the American-Croatian doubles Krajicek/Dodig 6: 3 and 6: 4 in the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 event in Paris-Bercy. In the final, the duo now awaits Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski, who defeated Heliovaara/Glasspool in the Champions tiebreak, played in lieu of the third set.
Dodig and Krajicek clearly got off to a better start in the duel with "KraMies", the duo quickly took a 3-0 lead, the Germans could not recover from that. Set one consequently went 6:4 to the double aces seeded number eight. The Croatian-American duo was also able to play in front in the second set. The break to 4:3 safely transported Krajicek/Dodig to a 6:3 and 6:4 success.
The two have thus prevailed against KraMies in a direct duel for the last starting place at the NItto ATP finals - Krajicek / Dodig will complete the field next week in Turin.
