ATP Queen's Club: Top favorite Matteo Berrettini is approaching the title defense

With Matteo Berrettini , the number two of the grass classic in London's Queen's Club is in the semifinals. Surprise man Ryan Peniston , on the other hand, is eliminated.

Matteo Berrettini, who is currently tenth in the world rankings, is in the semifinals of the renowned ATP World Tour 500 tournament in London's Queen's Club. The Italian defeated the American Tommy Paul 6:4, 6:2 and has to deal with the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp in the semi-finals, who defeated the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina with the same result only in reverse order 6:2 , 6:4 was able to defeat. Berrettini started his comeback and the grass season very successfully, won the ATP World Tour 250 event in Stuttgart last week and inflicted a three-set defeat on the two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray in the final.

So while things are looking up for the man from Rome with a possible title defense in the British capital, wildcard player Ryan Petinson's early summer tale has come to an end. The South Slav meets the Croatian Marin Cilic in his semi-final. The Croatian, who is currently playing well, managed a 7:6(2),-6:4 win over Finn Emil Ruusuvuori.
