As in the previous year, the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells will be opened with an exhibition fight, which will take place in the format of the "Tie Break Tens". This means that short matches are only decided on a match tie-break, whoever reaches ten points first, and with a lead of at least two points, goes one round further. Eight players will take part in the show event, especially Rafael Nadal.

Thanks to the participation of the 19-time major winner, the organizers around tournament director Tommy Haas went so far as to put the whole evening under the motto "Rafa and Friends". The tie-break-tens tournament is actually known as the “Eisenhower Cup”. The game takes place in the second largest stadium of the facility in Indian Wells. After all, the winner has been awarded $ 150,000 as prize money.

Nadal and Zverev previously in Acapulco

"A huge thank you to Rafa and all the other incredible players who take part in this fantastic event," said Tommy Haas in a broadcast. And in addition to the current world ranking second, he also meant Daniil Medvedev, Stan Wawrinka , Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz and Milos Raonic. The Canadian won the 2019 event in the final against Wawrinka.

Before his appearance in Indian Wells, Rafael Nadal had planned the trip to the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Acapulco. The Spaniard will be in first place there, followed by Alexander Zverev. The Australian Nick Kyrgios starts as defending champion in Acapulco.
